"One of the best books ever!"
"I hope people enjoy this cool book like I did!"
The most disappointing part of the book is mostly the whole book. It's very sad and scary when crazy Ms. Shepherd kidnapped a ninth grader, Kyle Wilson, and injected him with a shrinking formula. She did the same to three other kids and a dog. They try hard to make up new plans to escape, but every time they try they fail. One thing is certain- Kyle and the others must figure out how to escape and fast!
I would recommend this book for people who like fantasy and adventure with a strong dose of horror. Also, read this book if you like baseball and baseball players, violins, dogs, and if you are like an artist.
Don't read this book if you don't like fantasy, adventure, and horror. Also don't read this book if you don't like baseball, baseball players, violins, dogs, and artists.

Dead Man's Switch is a book about a teen named King who has just lost a dear friend. But, days later he receives emails from him. King is baffled, but shocked at what the emails read. They claim his father committed a heinous crime and authorities will hunt him. King is stuck between who to believe.
I think this book if for all intermediates.
Note: This book is nominated for a Red Maple award this year. There is a ton of action, adventure, and mystery. If you are an intermediate student, you definitely have to check this book out!

The best part of this for me was when Abby's mom and dad find out that they have a magic mirror in their basement, but the magic mirror hypnotized Abby's mom and dad to forget all about the magic mirror. Abby and Jonah were told by the mirror not to look at the mirror when it was hypnotizing their mom and dad, but Jonah looked! Will he still remember their past adventures?
I would recommend this book for people who like wacky, fun, and funny mixed up fairy tales with a twist ending. Also, read this book if you like the Snow Queen and puppies.
Don't read this book if you don't like fairy tales, the Snow Queen, and if you don't like puppies.

The best part of this book is when a girl named Abby, her little brother Jonah, plus their new dog Prince go for a trip through their magic mirror and end up in the story of Rapunzel. They just can't resist climbing her hair. Suddenly, her smooth locks look like they've been attacked by sharks. They think a little trim will help, but now Rapunzel's hair is too short and they're trapped! Can they fix it before it's too late?
I would recommend this book for people who like adventure, funny, and for people who like fairy tales but not the same happily ever after. It has a twist at the ending. This book also has a lot of girl power too!
Don't read this book if you don't like spiders or giant spiders. Don't read this book if you don't really like fairy tales or if you don't like dogs.

There's more than one best part, but if I had to pick it would be when America's "ex" boyfriend has to come to the palace to work as a body guard. As he starts to adjust to the palace, America's feeling for Maxon (prince) start to change. From then on, America has many confusions. SPOILER ALERT: There's some kissing. There's only 6 girls left at the end.
I would recommend this book for people who enjoy suspense and romance.
Don't read this book if you dislike romance and you just can't stand surprises/suspense. There's lots of suspense involving America's difficult choices between Maxon and Aspen.

The Hunger Games

5 Star Rating!
(SPOILERS) I really liked The Hunger Games because the chapters were all really excitement filled. I was really shocked when Primrose's name was pulled out of the jar because she was only 11 years old and the chances of survival were super slim. I was kind of happy when Katniss stepped in to save her sister, but also sad because Katniss is my favourite character. I was also surprised when Peeta and Katniss had to rival against each other because they were both good friends and they had to kill each other. I was happy when they didn't want to kill each other and were both declared winners.
I would recommend this book for people who like adventure stories, but the book is more of an intermediate read for grades 6-8. Lastly, this book does have a lot, a lot of violence and fighting. Remember that before you read it.
Like I said before, the book has a lot of violence and mature content, so it isn't recommended for anyone younger than grade 6. It is also a bit of a sad story, but other than that, it is a really good book.

The Jewel (First book of the Lone City Series)

3 Star Rating
(SPOILER ALERT) The most disappointing part of the book was the romance between Ash and Violet. I felt that the romance was rushed in as if the author has forgotten to add the romance and suddenly included it. The author thought that adding a dangerous element to their relationship would intrigue the readers. In the novel, Violet is the surrogate for the duchess of the lake and is not allowed to date. However, Ash waltzes in the story and Violet falls for him. Ash is a companion for the duchess's niece, a beastly girl named Carnelian. Carnelian turns suspicious of Ash and Violet's relationship when Ash turns dreamy eyed and loses focus during their lessons together. Overall, I did not like the romance in the novel because of how rushed everything was and how the author wrote about the romance. However, I did like the novel, sadly just not the relationship between Ash and Violet.
I would recommend this book for people who like reading through first person's point of views as the novel is seen by Violet's eyes only. People who enjoyed The Selection series by Kiera Cass will enjoy The Jewel. The Jewel has a similar lay out of the world. The Selection series has castes deciding how you live and The Jewel has five circles, which is almost identical to The Selection. The Jewel also has a princess theme; balls, dances, dresses, and royalty. I suggest reading The Jewel is you love reading first person novels, The Selection series by Kiera Cass, and princess themed books.
I would not suggest reading The Jewel if you hate badly written romance. The book's last 100 pages was on full blast, horribly written romance. Normally I would love any romance in a book, but this really hit me. Do not read this book if you do not like cliff hangers at the end of a book. The book's ending is a surprise and makes you want to rip your hair out of your head until the second book of the series is in your hands. If you hate badly written romantic relationships and cliff hangers, then I do not suggest reading The Jewel by Amy Ewing.

SPOILERS: The best part was when Leon was put into the kind Nazi soldiers group. It meant he had a chance for survival and to live. The disappointing part was when the book ended.
I would recommend this book for people who: Like historical fiction and don't mind sad stories.
Everyone should read it! Except non-sentimental people (it was sad).
